OUR Ride outS

How fit do I have to be for the ride outs?

Generally it is up to the participant to check medically whether the own physical condition allows for a cycling tour of 2-4 hours. A certain physical condition should be present, even if we cruise rather than race. In case the difference in performance is huge, we split up our guides and support vehicle to the different smaller groups.

Each of our ride outs takes place before noon and lasts a various amount of time, depending on the daily distance between 2 and 4 hours. During the ride out, lunch will be had (on own expenses) in the Chianti region. Returning to the hotel is planned for early afternoon. Adjusting the ride out program according to the weather remains reserved to the organizer. Here, too, the safety of our guests has first priority.

Do I have to take part in all the ride outs?

We organize the daily ride outs accompanied by our staff. But of course one might as well get on the bike on their own. It is a holiday after all and we force nobody to take part in the entire program.

Should the chosen model not be available anymore, we will offer an alternative to the guest. For guest who want to take it easier we also offer the e-bike variant Super Commuter 8 by TREK.

Do I have to rent a racing bike from TREK or may I bring my own racing bike?

Of course an own racing bicycle can be brought as well. That needs to be announced when booking so that the rent for the racing bike can be subtracted from the booking price since it is already counted in in the price.

WINE DEGUSTATIONS

How exactly do the wine degustations work?

“Don’t drink and drive” and “safety first” also apply to our Ride & Wine offer. The wine degustations happen only after and not during the ride outs. We will reach the wineries via shuttle service directly from the hotel. The wine degustations take place in various wineries of the Chianti and surrounding areas. As a part of the welcome-cocktail, the wineries that will be visited will be announced. These wine degustations will take 3 to 4 hours, depending on the arrival route. IMPORTANT: no drinks will be served to underage persons.

For companions of our riders, who do not cycle, we offer a separate non-rider program.
